After installing your search engine. Now you need to configure your engines with Your Google API keys and IDs.
Creating Google Programmable Search engine
First thing you need to create your Google Programmable Search.
- Go to cse.google.com.
- Click on "New search engine" or "Add" or equivalent in your language.
- Enter your site domain in "Sites to search" field.
- And choose a name of this search engine "Name of the search engine" (E.g: Web engine)
- Then click on create.
- You will be redirected and see the message "Congratulations! You've successfully created your search engine."
- Find and click on "Control panel", you will be redirected to Programmable search engine control panel on cse.google.com.
- Find "Search engine ID" Click on "Copy to clipboard".
Now you get your search engine ID, Save it for next steps.
Linking your search engine in ASE Lite With Your Google Programmable Search
Now that you have created your Google Programmable search you can link it with your ASE Lite one of your engine let's say "web engine"
- Login to your search engine admin panel.
- In left menu go to "Engines".
- Then go to "Manage engines".
- Then click on the pen in right side of engine you want to link it with this Google Programable search engine.
- Then change your CSE ID with Your Google Programable search created above.
- Choose other configs as you want.
- Then click on "Update"
Now your search engine in Azizi Search Engine Lite connected with Google Programable search.
Synchronize ASE Lite engine with Google Programmable Search
Now you need now to synchronize configs between ASE Lite and Google CSE as follow:
- Login to your search engine admin panel.
- In left menu go to "Engines".
- Go to "Synchronize with google CSE"
- Choose the engine you configure it above (E.g: Web engine) from menu above.
- Click on download, a ZIP file will be downloaded to your device.
- Unzip the downloaded file.
- You will see two files "cse.xml" and "annotations.xml".
- Go to you cse.google.com account and choose the engine you want to synchronize (E.g: Web engine).
- Click on it to access the engine's control panel.
- Then go to "Advanced" tab.
- Click on "Search engine context"
- Then click on "Upload xml file"
- Then choose the "cse.xml" file from your device.
- In the same tab "advanced".
- Click on "Search engine annotations".
- Then click on "Add".
- Then choose the "annotations.xml" file from you device.
Now your search engine (Let's say Web engine) Is ready and synchronized with Google programable search.
